"Second Line Series" and "Corner Series" are two recognizable Owolabi compositions utilizing different angles of point perspective to capture iconic New Orleans imagery: the second line, the wrap-around corner balcony.

Ayodele Owolabi was born in Nigeria, where he studied painting and advanced techniques before moving to New Orleans. He has established himself as one of the most prolific voices for New Orleans through his work depicting second lines, Mardi Gras Indians, French Quarter street scenes, and the more whimsical "Jazz Cats". He has worked with the city on multiple murals, sells his work in-person at the Frenchmen Art Bazaar, and is a regular participant in Jazz Fest, among other local and international accomplishments.
